I am a local councillor for Hyde Werneth from 2018, I work at Diversity Matters North West I initially joined as a volunteer in 2011, before becoming a permanent member of the team in 2018 as Community Liaison Worker, Cancer coordinator and my new role BAMER Link Worker.
Before joining DMNW I worked with Hyde Bangladesh Welfare for over 4 years. I previously spent over 15 years working with children, as a teaching assistant but also including 6 years as a junior teacher in Bangladesh.
I have achieved an NVQ Level 3 in Early Years and Level 3 in Business. I am a mother of 4 – my eldest child graduated from an Honours degree from the University of Manchester, my daughter graduated from university of Leeds and my younger 2 are in college.
